Day 0 errata
And a merry hackmas to you too! In the 3 hours since launch, a few things have been brought to my attention.
- Yes, d2 weapons and armor either crit or fumble all the time. Because sucking or kicking ass is brutal either way.
- "No armor" should be an auto fumble.
I've also realized (all by myself, because I'm a big boy) that some stuff is out of sync.
- Crit table orders should be inverted. A crit vs. a fumble means better results should be at the lower end.
- The "bleed out" defence fumble should call to the hemorrhage rules on the Broken table instead of just dooming the character.
- Yes, simultaneous max and min results incur a crit and a fumble at the same time.
I may also revise and/or reorder some table entries.
No matter what, I'm going to have to tweak the layout to keep all this on one page.
I'll post a revised version tomorrow. Until then, use these notes as a guide. Because I know that you're so inspired that you're going to convene an MB session TONIGHT just to see these rules in action.
The long story:
I woke up at 2am today with this concept in my head. I'm sick as hell, didn't sleep up much, and forgot to eat lunch, so that's why this release is pretty borked. Learn from my mistake: don't ever push a release the same day you come up with and write it. Also, get adequate sleep and don't skip meals.
